Interview with a Chemistry Major About Her Experiences with Digital Technologies

This is an oral interview with a female student born between 1996 and 2000. The interview included questions about her relationship with digital technologies and the way digital technology has affected the way she was raised. As a chemistry major, she is often found scribbling chemical bonds on paper and googling explanations online. The digital device she chose for the interview is a MacBook Air 13” 2015. For the purpose of confidentiality, the interviewee’s name has been replaced with the letters “E.T.”

The interview was conducted by Michele Chen, a current first year Oxford Student interested in the relationship between digital technology and the way people are raised. She is a first-generation student whose parents immigrated from China to New York. She is interested in developing a better understanding of people and hopes to pursue a career in public health.
